Bezier Curve Smoothing — How It Works

The smoothing slider controls how much Bezier curve correction is applied to your strokes before they are rendered.
At 0% smoothing, every mouse position is plotted directly — maximum fidelity to your exact movements. At 70% (the default), the tool uses quadratic Bezier interpolation to smooth the path between sample points, rounding out minor jitter while preserving the overall shape of your signature. At 100%, heavy smoothing produces very fluid curves but may simplify some of the natural variation in your signature. For most users, 60–75% produces the best balance.
